Eastgate: Eastgate Street
Emblem on the outer keystone on Eastgate, Grade I Listed Building. The medieval Eastgate was taken down in 1766 and rebuilt in 1768-9 at the expense of Richard Grosvenor. The emblem has his motto NOBILITATE VIRTUS NON STEMMA CHARACTER.
