St Michael's Church: Bridge Street
Largely re-built by local architect James Harrison in 1849-50, in earlier times it had been a wooden structure.
Deconstructed in 1972, becoming the site of England's first History & Heritage Centre from 1975 to 2018, the building then being leased to Cheshire West & Chester Council. A major refurbishment since took place removing the 1990s mezzanine to reveal the medieval ceiling. View of ceiling above what would have been the Chancel.
